Extra, Extra!!! Draft Imagine Dubuque Comprehensive Plan Posted – Read All About It!

After 13 months, over 12,500 ideas, and more than 6,000 residents and stakeholders engaged, Imagine Dubuque 2037: A Call to Action, the Draft 2017 Imagine Dubuque Comprehensive Plan is complete and available for review.

Dubuque residents and stakeholders are invited to participate in a public hearing on the draft plan to be held by the City of Dubuque Long Range Planning Advisory Commission on Tuesday, Sept. 12, in the City Council Chambers on the second floor of the Historic Federal Building, 350 W. Sixth Street. The commission will review the draft plan and welcome public comment on it. Printed copies of the plan can be viewed during normal business hours in the City of Dubuque Planning Services Department, at City Hall, 50 W. 13th Street, and the Carnegie-Stout Public Library, 360 W. 11th Street. The Comprehensive Plan serves as a guide for the community’s physical, social and economic development. It is a key tool to developing policy, informing the city budget, and community initiatives. Imagine Dubuque is designed to further the momentum to create a more viable, livable, and equitable community.

Imagine Dubuque is the result of extensive, informed, and inclusive community engagement. Imagine Dubuque is the community’s plan and reflects the values and goals expressed by Dubuque residents and stakeholders throughout the Imagine Dubuque campaign. The plan outlines the community’s goals and establishes a framework of partnership and collaboration for successful implementation.
