A thank you to the thousands of folks who have engaged and shared their voice and opinion as part of Imagine Dubuque, the City of Dubuque’s New Comprehensive Plan. Whether at a workshop, focus group, or comments shared via the mobile idea board, idea boxes stationed around town, or the website or app — we are hearing you loud and clear! Every single piece of feedback received to date is being carefully sorted and logged by topic area. Drafting of themes and priorities is already underway — but not without one more very important workshop!
The last community event to gain input as part of Imagine Dubuque focuses on Equity, a topic that touches nearly everything and everyone – jobs, transportation, healthcare, arts and culture, the environment. We have already heard a great deal about issues, opportunities and considerations herein, so now is your chance to dive deeper and let us know what really matters. What does “Equity” mean to you? What can and should be done to make Dubuque more viable, livable and equitable?
6/27 Equity Workshop: Comic-Strip Inspired “Bubble Talk” + Children’s Mural
Imagine Dubuque is partnering with Circles Initiative and Inclusive Dubuque to host our final public input workshop. Join us on Tuesday, June 27th, 6pm at Prescott School (1151 White Street) to take part in this exciting community event! Share and build on others’ ideas via a variety of family-friendly activities. From comic-strip inspired comment zones to a life-size children’s mural, join us as we roll-up our sleeves and “talk equity”. Idea stations will center on economic well-being, housing, education, health, safe neighborhoods, transportation and arts/culture.
